Female diligence
Our ancestors were self-supporters for the most part. They cultivated flax and hemp, and the sheep supplied wool. The women processed these raw materials into thread, yarn, knitting wool and fabric. In the 18th and 19th centuries, home industries such als weaving and lacemaking were introduced in order to stop the heavy emigration to America. Further manufactures are to admire at the first floor.
